About Fabtastic Filigree

I have been crocheting for as long as I can remember, and I have always wanted to share it with everyone. My father taught me to crochet as a child and my 1st big project was for my older sister's 1st child, a baby blanket.

I remember in elementary school taking an old travel soap box to school filled with little crochet chains I sold for a nickel as friendship bracelets. Mind you this was the late 80's so there is that. However, it didn't seem like a sound career path at that point in my life. So, I graduated High School in 1998, went to college and graduated with a Business Admin degree in 2002. I then started working in contracting for the US Government.

In 2010 I gave birth to twin girls conceived using IVF and shortly after that I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and my family, and I were forced to return to my small-town life in order to be closer to family to help with the twins.

Fastforward to 2022 and I decided to open my own little business and return to my crochet. And here we are. It has been a long journey but it was all worth it or at least I hope it will be.
